This stylized bee is a 3d avatar for a honey company here in Brazil/São Paulo. It was all modeled, rigged and rendered in Blender. The head was sculpted in Zbrush. Here the steps from idea to finish. Hope you like it.

Cycles is quite impressive when it comes to rendering transparent materials. I’ve also noticed a remarkable increase of rendering speed with the new version of blender 2.64. Modeling, rendering, lighting done in blender. Some color adjustments were done in Photoshop.
I did this little modeling practice today. The intention of modeling the robotic arm was to do some animation with it.
